What Kai Makes Instagram to Blog

Hi! New Here! I'm Kai, and this is an evolution from my instagram into a website/blog thing. 2 years ago I started an instagram for everything I make, from knitting, sewing, and drawing to baking, gardening, and DIYing. Over these 2 years people have reached out to me regarding recipes, patterns and tips on how they can do it themselves and I keep mentioning I'm thinking about starting a blog... sometimes I've even started blogs that then never really took off into a habit....but I think it's time. I think it's time both in terms of my passion for making and for sharing my craft. I haven't fully mapped out how this is going to work, or what I'm going to share, but I have some ideas and I have the motivation to get started, so here I am! 

Very First What Kai Makes Post - Quiche Lorraine with Spinach

I'd like to make this blog an extension of the original What Kai Makes Instagram. I'd like to keep the variety of what I'm making and I'd like to have some sort of organization for the individual hashtags. #whatkaigrows #whatkaiknits #whatkaisketches all under the main #whatkaimakes. I'd like to include links to recipes and patterns, tips I've learned along the way and of course everything I've made!

I've always been a maker, from the noodle necklaces I'd make my parents as a child, my first job was painting designs on baby furniture, I decorated night cubs while going to art school and transferred to Architecture School where I dreamed of making really big things. I taught knitting for almost 7 years and now I work in an Architecture firm by day. Throughout different rolls I've always been a maker and I hope that this blog is evidence of all that I create, I can't wait to share What Kai Makes!
